Free, all-inclusive student showcases with NO participation fees!

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it is to have their child participate in a recital.

Many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. Unlike many schools in Texas, parents never have to pay admission or any related fees for these recitals.

Professional office staff to serve you

We strive to bring you the best customer service possible. We are continually adding hours to ensure that our desk staff is able to assist you when you call or come to the studio! Most music lesson providers do not provide front desk staff, but we have full time desk staff who are available at the front desk to assist you during ALL lessons, quickly and professionally. Excellent customer service is what sets us apart!

Trophies, certificates, and award wristbands to celebrate achievement

We are the only music school in East Texas that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder®” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder® is our unique method of music education that you can only get here.

Repairs & Restrings

If your instrument needs a restring or a repair we do all these in house! We offer strings that are easy on the hands and stay in tune.

Due to its central location, our school is convenient and draws students from  Murchison, Malakoff, Kerns, Cross Roads, Shady Oaks, Trinidad, Canton, Martins Mill and Palestine. We are easy to find, right in front of TVCC, with shopping and restaurants close by.

Month to Month lessons

Our desire is to inspire our students with the love of music. We do this through teachers and music that our students love. Unlike other programs, we do not require semester minimums for lessons. You can begin anytime! To stop lessons we just need to be notified by the 25th of your last month!

If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.

Meet the Owners

Will and Alicia Burgin are the owners of Tyler Music Academy.  The couple were born and raised in Texas, married in 2002, and opened TMA in 2014. "We've watched Tyler grow and TMA has grown along with it and we are excited about the future of music in Tyler." They currently serve over 375 private music students in East Texas.

Will and Alicia are residents of Tyler and look forward to what the future holds for TMA and the wonderful community of Tyler, Texas.
